Cheree Fernandez is the Finance Analyst for CDHI, where she designs and implements financial analyses, supports budget implementation, and manages compliance.
She has had a 15 year career at UCSF, including supporting the Oncology clinic of the Department of Ophthalmology, and the AI division of the Department of Radiology & Biomedical Imaging.
Most recently she was the Business Operations Analyst with the Occupational Medicine for the Dept. of Medicine, specializing in procurement, followed by her time as a Research Finance Analyst in the Urology Department, where she handled a $15 million portfolio mostly comprised of NIH funding, industry sponsored grants, State/ Foundation funding, and revenue/ gift & University monies. She is an expert in collaborating with faculty and staff to support them to engage with a range of administrative functions.
Executive Assistant to Dr. Michael Blum
Ianthe Pretorius is the executive assistant to Dr. Michael Blum, UCSF Associate Vice Chancellor for Informatics, Chief Digital Transformation Officer and Executive Director of CDHI. Prior to joining CDHI, Ianthe had extensive experience in supporting C-level executives in the private and corporate sectors globally, as well as leading operational and workforce management for these corporations.
Ianthe has a special interest in providing executive support to highly dynamic functional leadership teams with significant complexity, rapid growth and executive level decision-making. Ianthe has a deep passion for providing growth opportunities to colleagues and mentor them along the journey of their personal success.

Manager of Operations
Saiqa Anne Qureshi, PhD MBA, Manager of Operations for CDHI, leads the coordination of administration, finance, operations, facilities, communication, policy and space needs for CDHI. She has a deep understanding of research project management, with extensive experience across higher education internationally. She is a mixed methods social scientist by training, in addition to holding an MBA. She has worked at the intersection of research, commercialization and technology in a wide range of areas, with a passion for supporting researchers to create impact. She has a strong background in streamlining procedures and setting up new processes and policies. Prior to CDHI, she was Senior Research Program Coordinator in OB/GYN RS, where she set up the system to streamline execution of contracts to other UC institutions supported on gift funds that is continuing to evolve into agreements across the UC system. Prior to that she worked in the United Kingdom, including London College of Fashion, where she supported a broad technology facing research portfolio attempting to normalize sizing to reduce return rates in online shopping and integrated body scanning technology with bespoke tailoring in men’s suits to re-onshore the garment industry to the EU. She also organized the first research dissemination events at both London Fashion Week and London Fashion Week Men’s Collection.

Sarah Cadotte Taylor is an Administrative Officer at CDHI where she supports the Director of Informatics, Dr. Aaron Neinstein and Director of Technology, Ed Martin at CDHI and is also part of the operations team. She has over 20 years of experience in a variety of administrative support functions including, CRM management, HR, accounting and expense reporting, event planning, web management, training and calendaring. Prior to joining to UCSF, she worked primarily as an executive administrative support to C -level Executives, principals and business owners in the financial planning industry.

Teresa Toy is the Administrative Officer at CDHI supporting the “Chief Strategy Officer Rhona Snyman,” as well as, communication, marketing and development. Previously, Teresa worked in fund development at UCSF’s University Development and Alumni Relations and at various Sutter Health-affiliated medical centers in the Bay Area for the past sixteen years. Prior to that, she worked in business development, marketing and communications in the telecommunications/broadband industry for seven years.
Teresa holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis on management from San Francisco State University.

Robert Newton provides financial management support for CDHI. With over 20 years of banking experience and 10 years of internet product development experience, Robert brings a depth of knowledge in managing financial data.
